The French J/70 Class held their 2021 National Championship for a fleet of 15 boats in Arcachon, France, hosted by the Cercle de la Voile d’Arcachon. The fleet enjoyed three days of racing on the Atlantic Ocean with a total of 10 races. Winning by a significant margin was Jean-Yves Martin’s SEVY team with four bullets in their scoreline and counting only podium finishes. His crew consisted of Damian Michelier, Charlie Guth, Alois De Guitaut and Nathan Fosse. Taking the silver was Vianney Vautier’s TRISKELL with crew of Veronica Mosca, Christine Briand, Francois Salengros and Elisabeth Valiant. The bronze medal went to Herve Leduc’s PIERRE OCEANE with team of Loic Avram, Stephane Barraux and Thomas Cormier. The balance of the top five included the top youth team in fourth place: the YOUTH FRANCE MEDITERRANNEE TEAM was skippered by Aurelien Ottou with crew of Esteban Hernandez, Nathan Charon, David Goleminov and Remi Piazza.
