A fleet of 20 J/70s assembled at the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, Isle of Wight, England for their 2025 UK South Coast Championship. Just six points separated the top five teams. In the end, William Edwards’ SARDONYX scored an impressive 2-5-1-1-4-5-14 for 18 points net. The balance of the podium was determined by a tiebreaker at 22 points each between Nick Griffith’s SPENCER and Ali Hall’s CALYPSO. On the countback, it was SPENCER that took silver, while CALYPSO garnered the bronze. Rounding out the top five were Simon Perry’s GIRAFFE and Martin Dent’s JELVIS, in fourth and fifth, respectively.
