The fifth act of the Tenzor J/70 Cup Series in Bodrum, Turkey was organized by Tenzor Sailing Club Türkiye. Raced on Aspat Bay and hosted by Anthaven Resort, the fifth act featured three days of intense racing and nine contests. Thirteen J/70s lined up on one of the series’ most technical racecourses. The opening day delivered spectacular conditions with each team completing three races. Competitors were greeted by winds of 8-10 knots at the start, which built to a robust 14-16 knots. ADA JR KALINKA, skippered by Alpa Doguoglu, and DOLVCE VITA, led by Inna Balashova, quickly claimed the lead through sharp tactics. The next three leaderboard spots went to veteran teams: BOGATYRS (Igor Rytov), HAPPY HOUR JR (Erman Ayvaz) and PTICHKI Sailing Team (Elvira Pinchuk, top woman helm). It was a thrilling second day of racing. Competitors were greeted with excellent conditions, with 14–18 knots of wind, leading to a complete shake-up of the leaderboard after six races. Onur Erardag’s NAUTIQUE YACHTING delivered a standout performance. They secured two race wins and a second-place finish. This impressive scoreline propelled the team to the top of the overall standings. PTICHKI Sailing Team moved into second position after claiming one victory during the day’s three races, while BARS Sailing Team also improved their standing to round out the top 3. HAPPY HOUR JR was fourth, having equal points with the third-place team, maintaining a tight battle at the top. The leaders from the opening day – ADA JR KALINKA, DOLCE VITA and BOGATYRS – lost ground in the standings and found themselves in pursuit mode. The last day proved to be a spectacular finale for the PTICHKI Sailing Team, skippered by Elvira Pinchuk. The final racing day offered perfect conditions, with a steady breeze of 14-16 knots allowing for three decisive races. The stage results were determined from nine races, with one discard. PTICHKI Sailing Team clinched the top spot, holding off their closest rivals by a single point. “The regatta was held in strong winds, and we managed to complete the entire program. Winning is especially pleasing,” said Egor Terpigorev of PTICHKI Sailing Team. “In the last race, we had a head-to-head battle down to the last meter. It was a great feeling. Also, it is important that, as a team, we improve stage by stage. Our synchronization is improving, and we are resolving all issues much more easily. Special thanks to my team for the great job. It was really cool, we are happy!” Securing the silver medal was the Turkish team NAUTIQUE YACHTING, led by Onur Erardag, who finished just one point behind the leaders. It was NAUTIQUE YACHTING’s first big success in the Series. The comeback story of the regatta was the TENZOR Team. Having started the first day in 8th place, they fought hard to reach the bronze medal podium. Skipper Andrey Pushkin managed to maintain a strong presence at the top of the leaderboard throughout the final day. Just shy of the podium and taking fourth place was the BARS Sailing Team, led by Maxim Batrakov. For more Tenzor J/70 Cup Series information, visit https://ticows.com/.
