The fourth act of the Barcelona J/70 Winter Series, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, concluded with thrilling moments and outstanding performances from the participants. In this edition, 17 teams from seven countries gathered in the waters of Barcelona to face challenging weather conditions marked by high pressure systems, calm seas and light winds. Despite the difficulties, Race Committee managed to carry out two races on Friday and another two on Sunday, with Saturday remaining inactive due to the lack of wind along the Barcelona coast. The standout of the event was the Canarian team Monjo skippered by Luis Martínez Doreste, securing their first victory in the four acts of the Barcelona J/70 Winter Series since it began in October. The team overcame meteorological adversities and claimed their position at the top of the podium. Second place went to Cobra skippered by Gonzalo Romagosa, while the team Hang Ten led by Jorge Martínez Doreste secured the third position this time, maintaining confidence in their overall victory with one act remaining to conclude the Championship. Despite the circumstances, the competition has proven to be fierce, with teams determined to fight until the end. The culmination of the Barcelona J/70 Winter Series is scheduled for February 23, 24, and 25, where the winners of this 2023-2024 edition will be revealed. The Barcelona Winter Series is a regatta organized by the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, with the collaboration of Engel&Völkers, Estrella Damm, Veri, Diputació de Barcelona and J/70.
