Thanks to Ron Weed for this report: An all-Canadian fleet completed eight races in three days. Conditions ranged from 8-16 knots (sometimes in the same race) with a sea state that was mostly flat to light chop. Mode changing upwind and down was paramount. Aaron Drury’s Trial CAN771 came out on top winning five of the eight races. Racing was close however: Team Trial and Kelley Hansen’s CAN404 with J/24 and J/22 World Champion Travis Odenbach onboard went into the last day tied on points. Drury, with Brian Johansen, Ian Hunter and Ron Weed onboard won the last two races and the regatta. CORK put on a great event. Downtown Kingston was a great place to visit, walk around and find great food and drink.
