The Canary Islands’ HSN Sailing Team has been crowned overall winner of the 2025 Barcelona Spring Series in the J/70, after dominating all three events held this spring under the organization of the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona. With a total of 42 points, the team led by Javier Padrón delivered a flawless season in Barcelona waters, outperforming a competitive national and international fleet. HangTen-Hnos. Berga, skippered by Món Cañellas, secured second place with 71 points, while Baleària-Team RCNP climbed to third overall with 120 points thanks to a strong performance in the final event. Despite initially unfavorable forecasts, Barcelona offered a spectacular weekend of sailing. Ideal wind conditions allowed the race committee, led by Pere Sarquella, to complete all 12 scheduled races, providing a thrilling conclusion to the Barcelona Spring Series. The third and final event was marked by a fierce battle between Noticia, HSN Sailing Team and HangTen-Hnos. Berga, with teams such as Diva (Germany), Cobra, Baleària-Team RCNP and Bodegas Can Marlès also contesting top finishes and showcasing the high level of competition across the fleet. On Friday, Noticia led the standings, closely followed by the two title contenders. On Saturday, HangTen-Hnos. Berga took the provisional lead, briefly overtaking the Canarian team. On Sunday, with shifting and strengthening winds, HSN Sailing Team secured a key win in Race 9 to reclaim the lead, but a mistake in the following race allowed Noticia and HangTen-Hnos. Berga to close the gap. Ultimately, Noticia claimed back-to-back wins in the final two races, securing victory in the third act.
