At the end of Act II, Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio (G-Spot) has emerged victor of the first two meetings in the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series. Now in its 11th season, these monthly regattas from November to March organised by Yacht Club de Monaco continue to offer a fabulous setting for teams from all over Europe who come to prepare for the upcoming season. Having finished in the top three of nine of the 11 races completed in Acts 1 and II, YCM’s Serena di Lapigio is showing a consistency the rest are finding hard to disrupt, although the Swiss on Découvertes-Geomod did clinch second place ahead of Lorenzo Bortolotti (Black Swan) with Pierrik Devic’s Leonteq in fourth in Act II. In the Corinthians, TinnJ70 helmed by YCM’s Cesare Gabasio led from start to finish ahead of another YCM member, Matteo Scandolera (Irruenza) with the Swiss on Team 838 completing the podium in third place.
