Calvi Network is the winner, for the second year in a row and for the third time since its debut in the J/70 Class, of the Italian circuit J/70 Cup, promoted and organized by J/70 Italian Class. With a total of 26 races completed and 95 crews who crossed the marks of the regattas of the Italian circuit, started in April in Sanremo and then continued in Porto Ercole, Malcesine and Portopiccolo, Calvi Network has firmly conquered the top of the ranking, with a margin of 34 points over Petite Terrible-Adria Ferries of the young helmsman Claudia Rossi. Gianfranco Noè, owner and driver of Calvi Network, commented, “We could not hope for a better result. When at the beginning of the season we started planning, we said it would have been fantastic to put the seal on the circuit also winning the act of Trieste: this event was in fact particularly important for me because these are the waters where I was born and grew up as a sailor. It was a pity that there was no Enfant Terrible to duel with us until the end, because at the beginning of this leg, after 22 races, we were only divided by five points in the seasonal ranking.” The European Champions of Enfant Terrible, led by the owner Alberto Rossi, did not participate in the last act of the circuit, but nevertheless closed the season in third position, thanks to the excellent placings scored during the season, including the victories in Sanremo and Porto Ercole. La Femme Terrible of the co-owners Paolo Tomsic and Mauro Brescacin, with on board the already Corinthian World Champions Emanuele Noè and Giuliano Chiandussi and the bowman Francesca Pagan, reached success in the Corinthian division, plus a silver medal for Noberasco Das by Alessandro Zampori and third place to Why Not #Slam by Alessio Zucchi. Light wind, 13 black flags and just one race characterized the last day of the season promoted by the J/70 Italian Class. The event in Portopiccolo led to success for the Russian entry ArtTube by Lera Kovalenko, followed on the podium by Notaro Team by Luca Domenici and La Femme Terrible by Paolo Tomsic.
