The French J/70 Series is underway, and the fleet was treated to spectacular weather in Marseilles, France but just a little bit more wind than anyone bargained. The Massilia Cup was hosted by CNTL Marseille Vieux Port from April 1-3. While Friday dawned with brilliant sunny skies, the winds were gusting over 50 knots all day long. Saturday dawned with virtually the same conditions, so the fleet hung-out hoping it would ease. On day three, the CNTL Marseilles pulled off five straight races. In the end, victory went to the Confluence Sailing Team sailing ZAPPY-J, newcomers to the Class. For more French J/70 Class information, visit https://www.facebook.com/J70ClassFrance.
