The first act of the J/70 Cup 2021, organized by the J/70 Italian Class with the support of Marina di Nettuno and the Yacht Club Nettuno, ended with four good races over the weekend. In the end, it was Massimo Rama’s JENIALE EUROSYSTEM that was declared the winner of the first act of the J/70 Cup 2021. “We are delighted with this result at the beginning of the season, probably also the result of the many winter training sessions in the waters off Genoa, which have significantly helped us to improve as a crew. It is thanks to the excellent synergies on board that we were able to be consistent in this weekend’s regattas and to achieve this important result for which I really want to thank my crew. The J/70 proved once again to be a very fun boat, and the level of the fleet is growing from stage to stage. For the next regatta in Rimini, we hope to continue to do well,” commented the winner- Massimo Rama. In his home waters, Luca Domenici’s NOTARO Team closed the event in second place, while the bronze medal went to the young crew of ANIENE YOUNG skippered by Luca Tubaro (they were also winner in the Corinthian category). The balance of the top five were Alessandro Molla’s VIVA in fourth and PETITE TERRIBLE ADRIA FERRIES, skippered by three-time European champion Claudia Rossi. The rest of the Corinthian division podium was Ludovico Fassitelli’s JUNDA-SUMUS CAPITAL in second and Mauro Brescacin’s LA FEMME TERRIBLE in third position.
