In the city of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco and having the Vallarta Yacht Club as the host club, the 7th edition of the J/70 Mexico National Championship was held May 1-4. The event had participation of 22 boats from three regions of the country: Jalisco, Valle de Bravo and Cancun. The first day had a practice race, and the next three days, nine races made up the Championship. Each day saw very favorable conditions, with constant winds between 10-15 knots. The event not only defined the National Champion, but also awarded the first six berths (three in the Overall division and three in the Corinthian division) for the J/70 2020 World Championship.
