Forty J/70s representing six nations (AUT, CHI, DEN, GER, NED, SUI) competed in the annual Kieler Woche in Kiel Germany during the last week of June. German teams comprised the entire top ten, led by Carsten Kemmling, who netted 23 points in the 10-race series. His lowest score of a 7 was discarded, and he also snagged three bullets.
